Police said a 23-year-old Eagle Rock woman told them that she met Beraha July 18 and that she arranged to meet him the next day.

According to police, the woman said that Beraha physically restrained her when she arrived at his east Chevy Chase apartment, put a gun to her head and repeatedly raped her.

The woman said she finally escaped from Beraha the next day when, still armed, he took her to a restaurant, police said. Police said she told them that she ran out a back exit of the restaurant and called police.
