Mission Viejo : Dedication Set Aug. 10 for New Fire Station
A new Orange County fire station, to serve portions of the city of Mission Viejo, will be dedicated Aug. 10 in public ceremonies and an open house that start at 3 p.m.
The station, No. 31, located at 22426 Olympiad Road, will have one engine manned by three firefighters 24 hours a day, offering improved emergency response time to neighborhoods in the northern part of the city.
It will replace the temporary station at Alicia and Marguerite parkways.
Officials expected to attend the opening include Supervisor Gaddi H. Vasquez, whose district covers Mission Viejo; Chief Larry J. Holms, director of county fire services, and Mission Viejo Mayor Norman Murray.
