Democrats and ‘Jewish Patch’

Share

Hier’s correct commentary on “the orchestrated departure from the Democratic Party’s tradition to extend a hand to the Jewish patch” should put all American Jews on alert.

Why did Ronald Reagan in 1984 get the highest number of Jewish votes ever received by a Republican candidate? Because in his four years in office, American Jews recognized Reagan as Israel’s best and most loyal friend.

Before going to the polls in November, the thoughtful Jewish voter should: 1) Beware of an unknown factor in Middle East diplomacy, like Dukakis. 2) Answer the question “Where was George” by remembering that during these past 7 1/2 years, Bush stood steadfastly by Reagan in his strong support of Israel.
