Tustin’s Pony League All-Stars Play Long Beach

Bidding for a berth in the Pony League World Series, Tustin’s all-stars will face Long Beach Wednesday night in La Mesa in the Western United States Zone tournament.

Tustin, led by the pitching of Brad Gibbons and Tim Wilson and the hitting of Cale Carter and Danny Strapp, advanced by beating Fontana in the Southern California Regional Tournament on Saturday in El Cajon.

The winner of the double-elimination tournament in La Mesa moves on to the Pony League World Series, beginning Aug. 11 in Washington, Pa.
