Mycogen, a manufacturer of biological pesticides, reported a third-quarter net loss of $1.2 million on revenue of $1.6 million, compared with a loss of $1.5 million on revenue of $665,000 over the same quarter a year before.

The results reflect Mycogen’s first product sales in its history, President Jerry Caulder said in a statement. The product is M-One, a bioinsecticide for the Colorado potato beetle. It was introduced by Mycogen in May.

For the nine months ended June 30, Mycogen’s loss stood at $2.8 million on sales of $4.3 million, compared with a loss of $3.9 million on sales of $1.2 million over the corresponding three quarters a year ago.
