Local News in Brief : Orange : Authorities Identify Driver Killed Monday
A 23-year-old woman who died in an automobile accident Monday was identified as Kimberly Ann Morrow of Costa Mesa, a coroner’s deputy said Tuesday.
Morrow, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from her Datsun 280Z after colliding with another car about 3 a.m. Monday while traveling north on the Costa Mesa Freeway, north of Katella Avenue.
Louis J. Palleschi, 58, was driving his 1986 Toyota Camry when he saw the Datsun 280Z approaching from the rear, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers said Morrow swerved to the right to avoid Palleschi and the left front of her Datsun hit the right rear of his Camry. After the impact, the Datsun went over the east edge of the freeway’s embankment, rolled several times and came to rest on its roof.
