Louisville, Ky.-based Glenmore Distilleries Co. said it has agreed to purchase a major portion of Fleischmann Distilling Co.’s assets for $70 million. The price is subject to adjustment at closing, which is expected within 30 days. The purchase covers 16 Fleischmann brands, including Fleischmann gin and vodka, Fleischmann preferred blended whiskey, Scoresby and Inver House scotches and Canadian Ltd. Whisky, Glenmore officials said in a news release. Also included are certain inventories and Fleischmann’s processing and bottling plant in Dayton, N.J., the company said.
