Sen. Robbins To Sell Land to J.H. Snyder Co.

Developer Jerome Snyder has entered into an agreement to buy 16 acres of land adjacent to Marina del Rey for a reported $45 million, according to industry sources.
The roughly trapezoidal-shaped parcel, known as Admiralty Place, is bounded by Lincoln Boulevard, Admiralty Way and Maxella Avenue, at the end of the Marina Freeway. The land is owned by Marina East Partnership, of which State Sen. Alan Robbins (D-Van Nuys) is a partner.
In keeping with the “needs and concerns” of the community, Snyder’s firm, the J.H. Snyder Co., Los Angeles, will build a primarily residential mixed-use project on the site. Admiralty Place is less than half a mile from Marina City Club, another Snyder development.
During the coming weeks, Snyder Co. partners Snyder and Milt Swimmer will meet with neighborhood and citizens groups and with Councilwoman Ruth Galanter to discuss the project.
