Titan Corp., a San Diego-based defense electronics contractor, reported a profit of $242,000 on sales of $29.1 million, contrasted with a profit of $1.7 million on sales of $31.4 million over the same quarter a year ago.

This year’s revenue was impacted by the sale of Canadian operations that were included in last year’s results. Also, Titan said it was adversely affected by defense department budget reductions and program delays.

For the six months ended June 30, Titan reported a $423,000 profit on revenue of $58.9 million, contrasted with a profit of $3 million on revenue of $56.6 million over the same two quarters last year.
