Local News in Brief : Budget for P.V. Estates Budget
A $13,246,452 budget for 1988-89 maintaining service at last year’s levels was adopted this week by the Palos Verdes Estates City Council.
Of that amount, $8,476,423 has been earmarked for operating expenses, up 4.15% from last year.
The budget includes money to hire additional secretarial, clerical and professional services to do the work generated by the Neighborhood Compatibility Ordinance. Funding is also included to hire another part-time police community service officer to act as a liaison between the Police Department and community groups and to provide crime-prevention education.
