A co-founder of Wedtech Corp., the South Bronx, N.Y., machine shop that became a multimillion-dollar military contractor through bribery, pleaded guilty to lying at the trial of former Rep. Mario Biaggi (D-N.Y.) and six others. Fred Neuberger, 61, who founded the firm with John Mariotta, a convicted Biaggi co-defendant, appeared before Magistrate Kathleen Roberts in U.S. District Court in Manhattan with his attorney, Kolman Gallop, to answer a complaint charging him with perjury and obstruction of justice. Neuberger pleaded innocent and the case was assigned to U.S. District Judge Michael Mukasey, where he entered a guilty plea to both charges.
