Boy, 13, Fatally Wounded in Harbor-Area Shooting

A 13-year-old boy standing on a sidewalk in a housing project area was fatally wounded by bullets fired from a passing car after a gang-related dispute Friday night, Harbor Division police said.
“Witnesses told us they heard gang slogans being shouted before the shots,” said Lt. Tom Scheidecker. Paramedics rushed the victim, whose name was not immediately released, to San Pedro Peninsula Hospital where he died shortly after arrival.
