Schwartz Has Big Night in Fairgrounds Racing
Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa won the four-lap scratch main event Friday night in front of 3,456 in the weekly speedway program at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa.
Dubb Ferrell of Whittier was second, Alan Christian of Murietta third and Sam Ermolenko of Cypress fourth.
Schwartz, who celebrated his 32nd birthday Friday, has won 10 scratch main races in 19 weeks in Orange County. He also won a match series against Ermolenko, winning two of three races Friday.
Andy Northrup of Ontario won the eight-lap handicap main event. Tuff McBride of San Bernardino was second, Steve Lucero of Riverside third.
