There’s a name for the employees mentioned in the article. It’s “throwaway employees.” It’s the same name used for union workers who go out on strike and are permanently replaced. Years of being a faithful employee don’t count.
Companies can hardly expect loyalty, high morale, or peak performance from employees who don’t feel secure.
