10,000 Trees Stolen

BEIJING —
Peasants in southern China have cut down and stolen more than 10,000 trees from a state-run forest since the beginning of this year, the official Legal Daily reported Monday.
The newspaper said that thousands of peasants have entered the Wugong Mountain forest in Jiangxi province, stealing trees to be used in construction and for fuel.
