Teammates Andrew Hampsten, Alex Stieda, and Davis Phinney will renew their battle for the leader’s jersey in the Coors International bicycle competition today when the race begins its Colorado tour.
The event began Aug. 8 in San Francisco and has wound its way through Northern California and western Nevada.
Hampsten, the two-time winner of the Tour of Switzerland, had the overall lead from last Wednesday until Sunday, when Stieda went into first.
