William R. Roach has resigned as president...

William R. Roach has resigned as president of the Applied Learning subsidiary of National Education Corp., effective Sept. 30. He is also resigning as a director and senior vice president of the parent company. Roach had previously served as president and chief executive officer of Advanced Systems, which was acquired by National Education last December and merged with its Deltak subsidiary to form Applied Learning, based in Naperville, Ill. H. David Bright, chairman and chief executive officer of National Education, will serve as interim chief executive officer of the subsidiary until a successor is chosen. National Education, with annual revenue of $450 million, is the world’s largest provider of training to industry and government.
