Snake Puts Bite Into Uganda Coup Rumors

KAMPALA, Uganda —
A snake that slithered into a state-run radio studio prompted coup rumors in Uganda’s capital.
The rumors spread after a news reader spotted the snake crawling toward his microphone midway through Wednesday night’s news broadcast and exclaimed “Oh, my God!” A few seconds later, he simply said “Good night” in a shaky voice, went off the air without giving an explanation and left the studio, radio officials reported.
