Local News in Brief : Developer Issued Fresh Water Ban
Avalon has ordered Bell Canada Enterprises Development, developers of the Hamilton Cove condominium complex, to stop using freshwater in toilets.
Access to freshwater and saltwater valves at Hamilton Cove will be restricted to designated officials of the Southern California Edison Co., providers of freshwater, according to an agreement between the city, the developer, and Edison.
The action came after the developer acknowledged that freshwater had been used briefly earlier this year because of an equipment failure.
