Erika Lane of Sherman Oaks and Jeanne B. Collier of Glendale, both of whom were on the lookout for travel back-view mirrors that you hang around your neck, can now look forward to some happy traveling. Gladys Pettibone of the Bath and Vanity Shop, 3218 Glendale Blvd., Los Angeles, says they carry that mirror at $34.95; it comes in polished brass and can be reversed for double magnification. And M. Works of Lomita says she saw a rear-view mirror in the Cosmetics Department of the Drug Emporium, 1880 Pacific Coast Highway, Redondo Beach. We also heard from three readers who have back-view mirrors they no longer need; a stamped, self-addressed envelope to us will be viewed very favorably.

Joyce or West Los Angeles both suggest obtaining tips for crutches or canes from either a cane or orthopedic shop or a pharmacy.

Sally Lyons of Carlsbad, who wanted some hydroponic planters with a bottom well, should soon be on top of the situation. Marty Carpenter of Highland Park says to look in the Whole Earth Catalogue. Mary T. Clark of Chatsworth suggests Foothill Hydroponics, 10705 Burbank Blvd., North Hollywood. Jim McCaskill of Hydroharvest Systems, 31040 Terand Ave., Homeland, Calif. 92348, who has written books and conducted classes on hydroponic growing, says he has the planters in various sizes. We also heard from three readers who are willing to part with their hydroponic planters; would a stamped, self-addressed envelope to us be considered too grass a request?
