CAMPAIGN ’88 : GOP Ahead in Indiana

And in Indiana, the home state of Quayle, the Bush-Quayle ticket holds a 17-point lead, according to a poll published Thursday in the Indianapolis Star.

The statewide survey of 800 registered voters, conducted by the Gordon S. Black Corp. last Sunday and Monday, showed the Republicans leading 52% to 35%, with 13% undecided.

The survey had a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points.
