Margo Adams has doubled the amount of her palimony suit against Wade Boggs to $12 million, charging that the Boston Red Sox star inflicted emotional distress on her by telling the FBI she had tried to extort money from him.
Adams’ attorney, James McGee, said he had refiled in Orange County Superior Court. Adams’ original suit was rejected Aug. 12 by a court commissioner, who ruled that it lacked legal grounds.
Adams claims to have carried on a four-year affair with Boggs, who is married.
