Why doesn’t Jim Murray (Aug. 16) stick to baseball? On the night of a major baseball deal sending Pedro Guerrero to St. Louis for John Tudor, Murray is sitting around thinking of clever things to say about golf. How did this guy get in the Baseball Hall of Fame?

Murray claims that only golf lets in no-names. Well, who in the world was the rookie manager who defeated the great Whitey Herzog in last year’s World Series? And with the Minnesota Twins even! Baseball doesn’t care who it lets in.
