Small Plane Crashes Into Connecticut Woods; 4 Die

POMFRET, Conn. —
Four people were killed Sunday when a small plane crashed into a heavily wooded area in northeastern Connecticut, state police said. The Piper aircraft disappeared off radar screens for an unknown reason, Sgt. Scott O’Mara said. Authorities said searchers found the plane in a ravine after picking up its emergency locater signal.
