The Admar Group, Orange, posted net income of $136,000 for its second quarter ended July 31, contrasted with net income of $48,000 for the same period last year. Revenue rose 15% to $2.8 million from $2.5 million. In the first half of fiscal 1989, net income increased 75%, to $208,000 from $119,000 for the comparable period a year ago. Revenue totaled $5.6 million, 14% higher than the $5 million reported for the corresponding period last year. Revenue increased primarily because of the continued expansion of Med Network, Admar’s preferred provider organization, as well as the addition of Med$ense, Med$elect and Exclusive Health, programs acquired from a competitor in September, 1987. Admar develops, markets and administers managed health care services. Through contracted insurance carriers, Admar’s services are marketed as an adjunct to health care benefit plans to employers and their insured employees.
