Tandy Corp. said it has no plans to cut back its operations in South Korea despite labor unrest, including an episode last month in which six women employees were beaten by a group of men from a rival labor group. Tandy spokesman Ed Juge confirmed published reports that the company recently transferred production of some items from South Korea to Taiwan, but said it involved only about a dozen items out of 200 to 300 and was designed only to help the company stay on production schedules. He said it would not result in any layoffs.
