11 Reported Killed in Mexico Pipeline Blast

MEXICO CITY —
An oil pipeline ruptured and exploded along a 2 1/2-mile stretch in the eastern state of Veracruz, killing 11 people and injuring 80, Pemex, the state oil monopoly, said Monday.
Dozens of families lost their homes, witnesses said. The accident occurred Sunday between the villages of Juan Diaz Covarrubias and Angel Cabada in Veracruz.
