CAMPAIGN ’88 : Campaign Criticized

New York Gov. Mario M. Cuomo said Thursday that the presidential campaign is the most superficial he has ever seen. “What are the issues so far? Pledge of Allegiance, furloughs, death penalty. Are you kidding?” the Democratic governor said on a flight from Albany, N.Y., to Quantico, Va. “This is so far the most superficial (campaign) and it is because Republicans have made it that way.”
