Geraldo Rivera will host a weekly syndicated news show called “The Investigators,” which he calls “the second generation of the television news magazine.” Rivera, the host of the daily talk show “Geraldo,” also said he will examine devil worship in an NBC special airing Oct. 25. Rivera said Wednesday he will not renew his contract, which he said will expire Oct. 2, with “Entertainment Tonight.” By leaving that show, Rivera will gain five working days per month, all of which he said he will devote to “The Investigators,” which will debut in the spring. The NBC special, to be called “Devil Worship: Exposing Satan’s Underground,” will include coverage of satanic rituals and, Rivera hopes, a real exorcism.
