Local News in Brief : Santa Ana : Free Medicare Policy Seminar Is Planned
The Alzheimer’s Assn. of Orange County and the Health Insurance Counseling Advocacy Program are sponsoring a forum on “Medicare Supplemental Insurance Policies” from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday.
The free seminar, funded by the California Department of Aging, will be held at the United Western Medical Center, 1001 N. Tustin Ave., Santa Ana.
Steve Reed of the Social Security Administration will speak on “What Medicare Covers,” including a discussion of the recent changes in Medicare laws.
In addition, a health insurance consultant will provide information on Medicare supplemental policies and health maintenance organizations and an overview of Medicare’s health insurance counseling and advocacy program.
