Occidental Loses in Men’s Soccer, 2-1

Jesus Ortega scored two goals to give Point Loma Nazarene a 2-1 victory over Occidental in a nonleague match at Occidental.

Carl Burmeister scored for Occidental to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead 28 minutes into the first half.

Ortega tied the score late in the first half and scored again midway through the second half.

Occidental travels today to Colorado Springs, Colo., for the Colorado College tournament.
