. . . When The Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus made a San Diego stop early this summer, two locally trained dancers, 18-year-old Stacy Yardley and 19-year-old Alayne Kendrick, were singled out for jobs under the big top during local auditions. However, the circus-struck dancers needed official anointing from headquarters before they could join the circus. Both came through with flying colors, and now Kendrick is on her way to catch up with the national touring unit. Yardley is gearing up to join in November. “We’ll be traveling through New York, Florida, and South Carolina, and we’ll probably be back through San Diego again next summer,” Yardley said. “I’m very excited because there seems to be some pretty serious dancing, but it’s also a fun place to work.”
