Beatrice Dennis Rites Scheduled for Sunday

A funeral service for Beatrice Dennis, the first woman ever elected president of the Motion Picture and Videotape Editors Guild, will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Pierce Brothers Valhalla Mortuary in North Hollywood.
She was elected president of the 3,000-member guild in 1980 and served until 1982. She died Thursday of cancer at age 56 at a hospital in Northridge.
