Congress Defeats Gun-Control Bill

Share

How nice that The Times now gives us funny papers on the front page as well as inside.

In one of the most ludicrous statements I have ever seen, gun control supporters said their proposal would have been defeated by an even bigger margin had it not been for the President’s expressed support for a waiting period, the vigorous lobbying of Sarah Brady, and what Rep. Edward Feighan (D-Ohio) characterized as “the diminished credibility of the NRA.”

It would seem obvious to all but liberals that the majority don’t want gun control. They do want criminal control. And that brings us to another part of the same article mentioning that presidential hopeful Michael Dukakis favors a waiting period for buying a gun. He favors gun control but is infamous for turning dangerous criminals loose in his own state. Clearly, the inmates are running the asylum!
