A Lynwood man was listed in guarded condition Monday after he was shot by three Long Beach police officers who said the man pointed a pistol at them.

A Long Beach police spokesman said Kevin Glass, 25, was in guarded condition at Memorial Medical Center. Police said Glass’ ex-wife had called them to her house late Sunday, saying that Glass was threatening to shoot her.

When police arrived, they heard a loud argument inside the house and ordered Glass to leave. Glass appeared in the doorway twice but did not leave the house. He appeared a third time with a gun in his hand, police said. Officers ordered Glass to drop the gun, but when he “raised the gun in a threatening manner,” the three officers fired.
