A 42-year-old man was listed in stable condition Tuesday at Mercy Hospital, a day after he was shot in a parking dispute, police said.
Marco Antonio Soriano was shot once in the stomach at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday while he argued with another man in the 4000 block of 49th Street, police said.
Police responding to the call chased the gunman to a nearby apartment in the 4000 block of Winona Avenue. The gunman escaped, but police obtained a search warrant for the apartment and found a pound of cocaine, $2,900 in cash and assorted jewelry, police said.
