To help shore up a secondary depleted by injuries, the Raiders re-signed 2-year veteran David Greenwood.

Greenwood, who played in the United States Football League and with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Green Bay Packers in the National Football League, was cut by the Raiders in training camp last month. Primarily a safety, Greenwood may also see action at linebacker or on special teams.

To make room for him, the Raiders placed defensive lineman Mitch Willis on injured reserve after announcing that Willis had suffered a knee injury.
