Alexander’s to Sell Lease

NEW YORK — Discount retailer Alexander’s Inc. said it has agreed to sell the lease on its store in the Menlo Park Shopping Center in Edison, N.J., for $20 million.
The sale--to the center’s landlord, Shopping Center Associates--will result in a $16-million pretax gain for the New York-based chain.
