When a Prank Can Steal the Show--Even in L.A.

It’s understandable that Tracy Dodds wrote a sympathetic story about the theft committed by the U.S. Olympic gold medalists Troy Dalbey and Doug Gjertsen, who took a decorative mask out of a Seoul bar. But I couldn’t stand it when she wrote: “He might have seen it as a prank. They (Koreans) see it as theft.”

See it as a prank? If Dalbey took a decorative lamp out of a Hollywood bar, the LAPD would happily handcuff and put him in jail. Or would they see it as a prank?

Not a chance. You know how the LAPD is.
