DOUBLE TROUBLE: Sheena Easton, who makes her MCA debut Nov. 7 with a new album called “The Lover in Me,” gets some songwriting and production help from the elusive Joey Coco on a pair of tunes. Coco, whose name last appeared on the songwriting credits for Easton’s “Sugar Walls,” is actually an alias for Prince, who wrote “Cool Love” and “101,” which both appear on the new record. Easton and Prince also collaborated on a song called “Love ‘89,” which has been recorded by Patti LaBelle. . . . Speaking of trouble--we’ll bet that many parents out there are worried about their kids falling under the rabid spell of PMRC poster-boy Ozzy Osbourne. Especially because Ozzy’s new album is titled “No Rest for the Wicked,” with a cover featuring the rock bad-boy seated under a death’s head skull (on the inside sleeve Ozzy wields a pitchfork). But not to worry. Ozzy seems to worship the dollar more than the devil. As his liner notes boast, his bandmembers are endorsed by Tama Drums and Gibson guitars while bassist Bob Daisley offers plugs for Picato strings and Hamer basses.

Who’s that blond beauty on the cover of the Smith’s farewell live album, “Rank”? (It was a tradition for the band to feature old Hollywood stars on its covers.) This year’s model is ‘60s cult heroine Alexandra Bastedo, best known for her ice-maiden role in the British special agent series, “The Champion.” . . . Country-rock band Tin Star, who has a new album due out in January on Rhino Records, has been literally working the factory beat these days. The group is playing a series of concerts at local industrial plants--this Wednesday the band is scheduled to appear at the Mattel Corp. here.
