Suspected Mafia Boss Killed During Shave

REGGIO CALABRIA, Italy —
A suspected boss of the southern Italian Mafia was murdered today as he was having a shave in a barber shop, police said.
Demetrio Serraino, 48, died on his way to a hospital after a masked man fired several bullets in the shop. The gunman escaped with an accomplice who had been waiting outside on a motorbike.
