Local News in Brief : Politics : Quayle’s Wife, Bentsen Plan Campaign Stops
The presidential campaigns will again come to Orange County with visits this week from Sen. Lloyd Bentsen of Texas, the Democratic nominee for vice president, and Marilyn Quayle, the wife of Sen. Dan Quayle of Indiana, the Republican nominee for vice president.
Bentsen will tour the McDonnell Douglas Space Facility in Huntington Beach at 2:15 p.m. today. Sen. Sam Nunn of Georgia will accompany Bentsen at the event, which will be closed to the public.
Marilyn Quayle will be the speaker Wednesday at a noon lunch for Republican women at the Irvine Hilton. The cost is $15. Information and reservations may be obtained by calling (714) 752-1988.
