Mich. Gov. Escorting Dukakis Hit by Camera

KALAMAZOO, Mich. —
Gov. James J. Blanchard was struck in the head by a television camera wielded by a Cable News Network crew today as he accompanied Michael S. Dukakis on a visit to Western Michigan University.
The Michigan governor stood for a minute rubbing his head and then accompanied Dukakis into the building. “Are you all right, Jim?” Dukakis asked.
The governor indicated he was fine.
