PARIS —
French writer and journalist Pierre Barret, 52, died at his suburban Paris home after a lengthy illness, sources close to the family said.
Barret, who died of cancer Tuesday, was a former president of the Europe 1 radio network and general director of L’Express news magazine. He later joined a group that started the rival news magazine Le Point.
