Share

A week designed to educate children about the hazards of drugs, set up to honor slain Drug Enforcement Administration agent Enrique Camarena, was kicked off by a group of celebrities, including Big Bird and several members of the Los Angeles Rams.

Sunday was the third anniversary of the death of Camarena, who was kidnaped, tortured and murdered by drug dealers in Mexico.

A daylong rally in Santa Monica was highlighted by the appearances of Superman, Big Bird and Spiderman and an anti-drug poster contest among elementary schoolchildren.
