Xerox Corp.’s third-quarter profit advanced 9% from last year to $146 million. Revenue totaled $4.1 billion, a 10% gain. The Stamford, Conn., firm, which makes copiers and computer equipment and provides financial services, attributed the results to cost controls, increased financial services revenue and strong international momentum in business products and systems.
