Boeing Co.’s third-quarter net income jumped 38% to $144 million from last year’s third quarter. Sales rose to $3.72 billion, up 4%. The Seattle-based aircraft, missile and electronics firm attributed the results to higher sales, lower expenses in certain areas and a lower income tax rate.
