Toshiba America’s Information Systems Division in Irvine has introduced a new model of its popular portable personal computer line.
The T3100e, which is powered by the powerful Intel 80286 microchip, is a lighter, faster version of its predecessor, the T3100, Toshiba officials said. The new model weighs 12.8 pounds, more than 2 pounds lighter than the earlier model.
Toshiba said the T3100e will carry a price tag of $4,299 and will be sold beginning this month.
