Four people were arrested Sunday in what San Diego police called a bookmaking ring that handled $100,000 a week.

The arrests came after a two-month investigation, police Sgt. Fred Moeller said. He said the ring took wagers on football, baseball and horse races.

Moeller said police raided three locations and found 70 grams of methamphetamine, 60 grams of rock cocaine, $500 in cash and a stolen handgun.

Jeffrey Fitzhugh, 24, was arrested in the 4900 block of Euclid Court and booked into County Jail on suspicion of possession of controlled substances, a jail clerk said.
