Wholesale Growth (and Retail, Too)

Wholesale and retail trade accounted for almost a third of the 25,900 jobs added in the county in the year ended in September, according to data released by the California Employment Development Department. The biggest loser during the 12-month period was finance, insurance and real estate, with a net decrease of 900 jobs. Overall employment increased 2.4% in September, contrasted with the year-earlier month.
